This 8 Days Safari takes you through Uganda and Rwanda. The trip starts from Entebbe (Uganda) and ends in Dar e salaam (Tanznia). This is a safari on a go – a trip for those with less time yet would like to see more of the places visited.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe to Fort Portal

In the morning at around 700/hrs after breakfast you will be met by our representative who will double as your driver and tour guide  as well. He will then drive you to Fort Portal. Arrival will be in the afternoon. Take a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland where you will be able to see a good number of bird species. You may also see some of the primates such as monkeys. The walk takes you past the surrounding villages giving you an opportunity to interact with locals or exploring the eco-tourism activities in the area. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Guest House (Midrange) / Kibale Primates Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Kanyanchu the park headquarter offices. Go for chimpanzee tracking within the Kibale Forest. During the walk you will see different flora and fauna that may include other primates such as the Colobus Monkeys, Velvet Monkeys plus other primates that share this forest with chimpanzees. The park also hosts over 320 species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumpled tinker birds etc. There are also colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been recorded in the park. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species. Track chimps in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest National Park is believed to have most concentration of primates in the world. Over 12 different species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded. After the trek, have lunch. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge / Enganzi Safari Lodge (Midrange) / Mweya Safari Lodge (Kuxury)

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth national Park- Kabale

Early morning go for a game drive within the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park! Catch up with the early risers viewing herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes and some predators- lions leopards hyenas etc. Watch different species of birds. After this game drive, have breakfast at the lodge. In the afternoon, take a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge / Enganzi Safari Lodge (Midrange) / Mweya Safari Lodge (Kuxury)

Day 4: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha Sector. If you are lucky, you may see the tree climbing lions hanging in the fig trees. Bwindi Impenetrable national Park is a UNESCO world heritage site protecting the mountain gorillas. You will reach the park in the afternoon. Relax at the lodge waiting for the next day gorilla trek.

Dinner and overnight at

– Buhoma Gorilla Haven (Midrange) / Bwindi (Luxury) in Buhoma

– Gift of Nature Lodge (Budget) / Bakiga Lodge or Gorilla Mist Camp (Midrange)

– Rushaga Gorilla Haven (Budget) / Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) / Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge (Luxury)

Day 5: Travel to Volcanoes National Park

In the morning after breakfast, travel to Volcanoes National Park via the Cyanika Border. The journey takes you past Kisoro Town where you will have clear views of the three volcanoes of Maghinga Gorilla National Park. Have a stopover at the Twin Lakes for photography. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Lodge (Budget) / Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) / Five Volcanoes or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury).

Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking in Pac de Volcans

Morning after breakfast with packed lunch, you will be driven to the park offices for briefing. Go for golden monkey tracking in the Volcanoes National Park. The hike starts in the morning. After tracking, have lunch. Go for the Ibywacu Cultural Experience at the Gorilla’s Guardian Village. The experience takes you through the culture and traditions of the Rwandan people including the amazing history, customs and beliefs. Return to your lodge dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ruhengeri to Kigali

After breakfast will drive from Ruhengeri to Kigali. Visit the Genocide Memorial site – the Centre is built on a site where over 250,000 people are buried. These graves are a clear reminder of the cost of vengeance. The Center is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide and serves as a place for people to grieve those they lost.

8 day Travel to  Tanzania  for city tour ,

Dar es Salaam (meaning ‘place of peace’) is the largest city and former capital city of Tanzania. On the Swahili coast, Dar es-Salaam is an important economic Centre and one of the fastest growing cities in the world.

From there your driver/guide will drive you to drop you to the airport or hotel.

What to Carry

You will need to carry long pants like jean type, sturdy shoes to help you hiking steep and slippery slopes, long sleeved shirts and blouses to protect your bodies from thorns and itching plants. You may not rule out raining on you and at least a rain coat is needed to protect your bodies and any equipment carried along with like cameras. Also carry insect repellents and sun scream.
